The short version
treasurywithwesi is a working demonstration of a money app. Everything in it runs on practice money. We are not a bank, we do not hold your money, we are not licensed to move it, and nothing you do in the app has any effect on your real accounts.
You can use it for free. In exchange, please do not treat what it shows you as financial advice, and do not use it to mislead anybody else.
What you are agreeing to
By using the website or the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it — there is nothing to cancel and nothing to pay.
What the demo is
Everything you can do in the app is a simulation. In particular:
•
Balances, movements, savings goals, saved people, requests, practice holdings and alerts are all made up — by you, or seeded by us as an example.
•
Sending money moves a number between practice accounts. No payment instruction leaves the app, and no bank or wallet is contacted.
•
Asking someone for money creates a record for you. Nobody is messaged, emailed or texted.
•
Putting money into an investment creates a practice holding. No security is bought, nobody holds anything on your behalf, and no return is ever credited.
•
Changing a balance is a feature, not a bug: the demo is more useful with your own figures in it. You will never be able to edit a real balance.
•
Switching to a Premium or Business plan in the demo changes what the app shows you. No card is taken and nothing is charged.
What we are not
We are not a bank, a deposit-taker, a payment service provider, a stockbroker, a fund manager or a financial adviser, and we are not licensed as any of them in Botswana or anywhere else.
The banks, wallets and statutory institutions named in the app are named so you can recognise them. Being named is not a partnership, an endorsement or any kind of relationship. At the time of writing, none exists.
Rates, returns and risk descriptions are published reference information about the Botswana market, offered for education. They are not offers, promises or recommendations, and past returns do not guarantee future returns.
Nothing here is advice
The app explains options and does arithmetic on figures you give it. It does not know your circumstances and it does not tell you what to do with your money. Before acting on anything you see here, speak to someone licensed to advise you.
Your side of it
Keep it simple and keep it honest:
•
Do not enter anybody else’s real banking details, and do not enter a card number — the app refuses numbers long enough to be one.
•
Do not present the demo to anybody as a licensed, live financial service.
•
Do not try to break into other people’s data, overload the service, or work around its limits. Security testing is welcome if you tell us first.
•
Do not use the app for anything illegal, including making anything look like a real payment that is not one.
When real money arrives
Before any real account can be used, several things have to happen that are not in our gift: authorisation from the regulator, a bank or wallet that agrees to connect, your own identity verification, and your own bank’s permission given on its own secure page.
When that day comes, the terms will change and we will ask you to accept the new ones before anything real happens. We will not quietly convert a practice account into a live one.
Availability, and losing your demo
This is a demo, so we may change it, take features out, reset it, or stop it. Anonymous demo accounts that go unused for 7 days are deleted automatically.
Please do not keep anything in here that you need to keep. It is practice data by design.
Who owns what
The app, the website, the design and the words are ours. The figures you type in are yours, and you can erase them at any time.
Where we stand on liability
The demo is provided as it is, with no warranty. We are not liable for decisions you make about your real money, or for any loss arising from using a simulation as if it were real. Nothing here limits any right you have under Botswana law that cannot be limited.
Ending it
You can delete your account and all its data yourself, from your profile, at any time. We may suspend an account that is breaking these terms.
Law, and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Botswana. If we change them we update this page and the date at the top, and we will flag anything significant in the app.
